AOS & EAD Cover letter

AOS & EAD Cover letter
Hey guys and gals,
Scott and I are finally prepared to file the I-485 and I-765 at our local office on Tuesday and I/we have a question about cover letters. I'm going to create a cover letter for the I-485 package, based on the sample letter I found on Visa Journey (for the I-751). At this point, we haven't mentioned the I-765 at all in this cover letter because I know it's considered a separate petition.
Should I include the I-765 on this cover letter, should we create a separate cover letter I-765, or should we just not create a cover letter for the I-765 at all? Now this is all bearing in mind that we going to file this paperwork in person.
Any advice folks??
Cheers,
Jamie

Re: AOS & EAD Cover letter
Hi Jamie,
We did three separate applications (AOS, AP and EAD) all with their own separate cover letters. The AP and EAD packets each included a copy of the I-485 application and we mentioned that in the list of contents in the cover letters for the AP and EAD.
I'd be happy to send you a copy of our cover letters if you'd like. Send me a PM and I'll shoot it to you if you want.
Hope you and Scott are well!

Re: AOS & EAD Cover letter
This sort of helped me out. Go to:
http://uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/scnational/
Scroll down a bit and it tells you how to assemble the package. I-485
seems to be a special case and you would bundle the I-765 with it.
It's actually worth it reading the whole page.
Another good page is:
http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/hdiorig.htm
(this one talks about what copies can be submitted and when an original
is required).
Hope this helps,

Just put a "cover sheet" over the whole package. Say AOS Package for XXX XXXX, A# YYYYYYYYY, date, and then list all three benefits being applying for , AOS, EAD, AP.
Each benefit can have its own cover sheet inside. .
You could also place them on the same coversheet though -- we did. Just make sure each set of forms is divided out well, and make sure that it is clear that there are three sets of forms in there (not all for the AOS).

Re: AOS & EAD Cover letter
From my experience, one cover letter including all petitions enclosed. I.e., enclosed herewith are the following petitions and supporting documentation.
1. I-485 Adjustment of Status.
a. Fee
b. ADIT photo
c. G-825 Bio Sheet
d. I-864 Affidavit of Support
e. Etc.
2. I-765 Employment Authorization
a. Fee
b. ADIT photos
c. Etc.
3. I-131
a. Fee
b. ADIT Photo
c. Etc.
I suggest this as it will be discarded as soon as your package is received as per reports from other posters. The letter is mainly for your sake to be sure that you have each petition in order and all attachments correctly attached and sent.

Re: AOS & EAD Cover letter
Hi Jamie,
Just to toss in our own limited experience on this...
What we did was attach a sticky note folded over to hold all the related
documents of each set of applications together; clearly labeled of course,
and then one of those fold-over binder clips to hold the entire thing
together.
We came to find out at the interview that the INS case officers really hate
staples, or rather, having to separate stapled pages.
In all, cover letter or not, it helps your package to be as organized as
possible--and in such a way that every piece or group of pieces is as
recognizable as possible. It cannot be over-emphasized that your case/file
number should be on every shred of evidence you submit.
