Default aos chicago

It has been almost 2 years since I filed for AOS through Chicago. Still waiting for interview notice. So frustrated and tired of waiting. Now a new year started, and hope Chicago office pick up their speed.

From various forum, I saw people filed Oct., 2001 got approved, the latest one is filed at the end of Oct., 2001 and got interview today.

Any one had interview or received interview notice with Chicago recently? Please post your timeline and I will greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

update of the recent timeline in Chicago

From other forum, one filed AOS from visitor visa to PR at the end of November, 2001, got approved in Chicago 2 days ago. She got her notice for interview at the beginning of November, 2003. She had fp at the end of August and security check was cleared the same day of her interview. So she is lucky to get the stamp.
The waiting time in Chicago is about 25 months.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by AOS. Do you mean the Adjustment of Status you file after getting married on a K1 Fiance Visa? I thought that the interview for that was fairly quick!

I've just filed for AOS in San Antonio, Texas, after getting married in October. I was hoping that it wouldn't take more than a few months before our AOS interview...Am I being naive here???

Also, when you say PR, do you mean Permanent Resident or Provisional Resident? All these acronyms are rather confusing...

hello again

How about the details as per the chicago offoce posted on the web
site???

ie

State state as of yesterday that they are processing I 485's with a
receipt date of 20th June 2001.

I think while some people have had an early interview you must assume
that this is the correct information as why would they list ot on the
site.

My receipt date is 22 June 2001 and if above is correct I will be
hearing soon unless they divert work to a different area.

I say that because i mont ago they officially stated that they were at
20th June 2001 also therefore no progress in a month or else a
bigger volume of applications with a June 2001 receipt date.

Many thanks to all. Julia

Julia:

I remember that we discussed about AOS in Chicago couple months ago in the other thread and if I recall correctly, your RD is June, 2001.

First of all, I do not know how accurate the timeline posted on USCIS website is. That is one reason I asked people had or going to have AOS interview with Chicago to post their timeline.

Several months ago, I started to search and read through a lot of threads posted in various forum/websites related to AOS in Chicago, sort them out and put in spreadsheet. I understand probably most people applied AOS do not even know these forums and so that they don't post their timeline. However, I believe the timeline posted and I collected can represent some trend. I remember I posted those timelines in a different thread in this forum and you can search my username to find that thread. The recent ones I saw are:
RD: 09/13/01 Interview: 10/22/03
RD: 09/25/01 Interview: 11/13/03
RD: 10/01 Interview: 01/04/03
RD: 10/16/01 Interview: 11/19/03
RD: 11/20/01 Interview: 01/06/03

I haven't seen a timeline with waiting time more than 26 months so far.

Also in October I did a status inquiry through my congressman's office. In a reply to my congressman dated late October, USCIS Chicago is saying they were scheduling interview for people whose RD is July 2001 at that time.
