AOS case status?
Searched the forum, and can't find anything about this...
On May 10th this year, my wife and I attended my AOS interview. It was erratic; we felt uncomfortable, and with a strange situation to explain (her ex-husband and closest friend is our co-sponsor and roommate - which, admittedly, does seem a bit weird) we felt the interview had gone rather oddly. However, we weren't dismissed or denied out of hand - but we weren't approved, either. There had been a large number of data processing mistakes, and my background security check hadn't been correctly completed. I was given a notice (an AOS Inquiry Response Form) which stated that my application for AOS is currently pending that check.
The form also said that you should wait 180 days before inquiring, but if the background security check is the only box checked, you may inquire after 90. However, nowhere on the form tells you HOW to inquire, and after looking around the USCIS website, I can't find anything on there about how to make the inquiry either.
Sooo...
Does anyone know how to inquire about the current case status? And does anyone have any similar experiences to suggest whether we'll likely be approved or denied at the end of the check?
Thanks to all, in advance.

My wife's ex-boyfriend was my best man's escort at my wedding. So, not
so strange your situation; I'd call it civilized.
