Just an FYI.... My fiance went through his interview in Frankfurt last month.
He was approved that day, but was told it would take FOUR WEEKS for them to
actually print the visa in his passport and return it to him.
Good luck with your interview! It will be fine!

I remembered something about a period of 3 weeks in between showing up at the consulate and getting the visa... As I was hoping that things would speed up now that all the Au Pairs and High School kids are done with, I really thought of getting a ticket for early December... Your post really made me think twice about that . Btw- has your fiancé received his visa yet- and how long did it take?
Good luck for everything lying ahead!

My husband's visa took 3 weeks to be mailed to him, but this was in July.
Good luck!

Sounds like you have no plans for November 18th yet- so how about coming over and cheering me up, LOL???
Of course I am keeping my fingers crossed for your pre-christmas consulate party dream- would not be the first miracle in here !
Talking about dreaming... one of the (though doubtful) advantages of the whole process is that I began working on a wish-list for X-mas again (haven't done that for years!)... Guess what's on top of my list????
Damn, if I only had been a good girl ... Now things will all be up to the consulate...

Great news rebecca but why the long wait for the visa if you have a successful interview? My interview is not until Dec. 3/03 but if successful the visa is granted on the same day. Oh well hope all goes well and that you land in Massachusetts soon. Ive been spending a lot of time in the CanAmcouples forum getting lots of help in the gathering of documents for the interview. I haven't been in here very much of late. How is Cute Nurse (Sonya) making out?

Fantastic news Rebecca, I am so pleased for you. The waiting is almost over and New England awaits you
PS. SMILE and BE HAPPY things are getting BETTER for you!
And from the chaos there came a voice:
"Smile and be happy, it could be worse!"
And I smiled and was happy. And it became worse.

there is no need to be worried about - all we can do is wait and deal with the situation at the office that is responsible for us. life is not equally fair to everybody. no two ppl are alike either - and the world would be very boring if nobody would be differant
p.s.: my visa took also about 3 weeks after the interview to arrive in july from frankfurt
