Default Affidivit of Support, News to me + Question?

Hi everybody,
I just spoke to the US consulate in Stockholm Sweden about the affidavit of support for my K3 visa application (I-134).

She told me (since I informed her that my wife is a student and can´t show support for me) that I ONLY need one, in our case, from her Mother for the K3 (who is willing to sign), the only time you need I-134 from sponsor direct is for an immgration visa (K3 is a Nonimmigrant visa).

Do any oldtimer know anything about this?
I´m a little confused since everytime I read on the forum
and other places is says that my wife always have to
fill out one form and the cosponsor one???

the best to you all
Daniel

I'm an old timer and never heard this before. But hey, if they are willing to accept it, then go for it. However, I would rather be safe than sorry and an affidavit from my wife as well when I go for the interview just in case.
