Default Advice would be helpful

Hello

I have just come across this site & hope that some one might be able to offer some advice .

The situation is : We had a O.A.S. interview date, but I did not have all my w2's so we asked for a later date.
Now inbetween that date and this one, I lost my job due to cut backs.
I have signed on to become a truck driver, now I can not get back in time for the new interview.
My wife has been to the Ins in person to explain what is going on, she was told to still turn up. My question/ worry is will they give her and our children a hard time ? Is there any thing we/ I can do ?

Your advice would be greatfull

I'm sorry. I wish I could help. I'm not experienced in this matter. Hopefully someone who knows what to do will reply.
Good luck,

Rukhie:-)

seabee -

You might try hiring a lawyer to appear on your behalf. I don't know anything about whether you might be compelled to appear, or not. But, here again, a lawyer could give you advice that is meaningful. If it were me, I'd either find a way to appear myself or I'd hire someone to represent me.
