Default Advance Parole jam

I foolishly booked a return flight from Ottawa, Canada to New York on
December 30th, thinking that my Advance Parole was valid until December
31st, unfortunately the stamp says it's good until December 29th. Is there
any way I can get the advance parole document fixed, in the short amount of
time that I have left to get it fixed?

Thanks

J-F

J-F,

Fixed? The AP isn't in error.

You can apply for a new one, or you can re-schedule your airline reservation.

Has anyone renewed/applied for a new Advance Parole in NYC? The first time
I applied I mailed it in. Is it possible to show up in NYC with your
current advance parole and obtain a new one on the spot?

Thanks,

J-F

I think its possible. And its the only way you are going to 'fix' your AP. Mail is not an option.

Let us know what happens.

Paul here;

You seem to have a comprehensive knowledge of many various immigration issues. Did you once work in this field?

You can give it a try JF. Take the new I-131, photos, your passport and your airline tickets to Fed Plaza. Go to the third floor information, get a slip to allow you upstairs and pray for the best.

I thought about it, but it's not really worth me taking an entire day off
from work. We decided to simply take a bus back to NY instead. It'll make
for a nice little road trip.

Have you had to apply for a new I-131 because the old one expired? My plan
was to photocopy the actual parole document (I-512), send in a new
application with new photos in order to get a renewed parole document.

Hi Bill Wison:

My point is a simple one, learned from applying for an AP. 2 or even 3 weeks is not enough time to get a response back on an AP via the mail. Its not going to happen 98 times out of 100.
