Default Activating I-130 visa.

After the visa is issued in London, is it OK to make a trip over the
the US to activaste the visa and then return to the UK?

Then instead of having to move over within 6 months, you can leave in
just short of 12 months from your first visit.

What do you mean "leave just short of 12 months"?

There is no set time for you to abandon status.

You might be safe for almost a year, or you might not.

My mistake. I thought you had to return to the US at least once a
year to maintain residency.
