Default 9035 Form Rejected Due to New System

Hey everyone

I just wanted to share my experience with any prospective applicants for an H1 visa:

The DOL implemented a new on-line system for submitting the 9035 form (the first step in the visa process) and the system is suffering a lot of technical difficulties.

Thus, my application was rejected because the company's EIN (Employer Identification Number) was incorrect and the DOL said the company didn't exist.

Of course this was wrong, but the attorney has had to send them the tax returns confirming that the EIN is correct and the (5+ year old) company exists. It's taken a week thus far.

Very annoying, this doesn't inspire a lot of faith in the rest of the application process...

Unfortunately, there are lots of problems with the new LCA iCert system. This is a common problem. It seems that CIS and DOL roll out new processes and software before they have been tested, not afterwards......

There were plenty to crib the methodology off. Monkey see, monkey do.

Well it's been almost two weeks since sending further documentation and there's still no response from the DOL. And this for a process that used to be instant.

Apparently they have hundreds if not thousands of false rejections piling up, making the wait longer and longer and longer... What a great introduction to the immigration services of the American government!

O dear, did we disappoint.

Welcome aboard.

Of course my reaction will be disappointment when the DOL's efforts are pathetic. And that's probably the clean version of a sentiment being expressed in a thousand foreign curse words! I'll be the first to excuse an accidental or human error, but a systematic failure I can't defend.

Can't you pull some strings for a fellow BE member?!
