Hi,

My mom just arrived in USA and got green card but she wanted to go back home to visit family & wanted to stay there for 2 yrs Any body please tell me which application i have to fill to ge permission for her to stay 2 yrs out the USA. I will really appreciate that

Yes, it is form I-131. It must be sumbitted before she leaves the country. Note, however, even with the approved I-131 in her possession at the time of re-entry into the US she can still run into problems with the agent at the POE. She can and should be able to document at the POE that she has not abandoned her residency in the US while living outside of it for the last two years. Be sure that she has proof of a US mailing address, a home is preferrable, a bank account which is active, etc.
