Default 2 questions about RFE for I 751

Hi everyone,
I sent out the additional information requested for our I751 petition
to the VSC on 6/5. It was received on 6/7. Does anyone have an idea
about how long it takes VSC to approve? The RFE said 14 to 60 days. I
was just wondering if anyone with experience with an RFE with this
center had a timeline.

Also I went on the case status section just to see what came up and it
said that the number was invalid. This also happened when I tried to
call after I had originally gotten the RFE and was told the same thing
so I couldn't get through to talk to anyone. Is this something that I
should worry about or is the case number just a formality? I put the
number in several times and even checked the NOA to see if the number
is the same. It is.

Thanks,

Lili

Hi Lili,

The I-751 is one petition that cannot be tracked on line or on the automated system. So don't worry about that, it's normal.

As far as how long it takes, that I don't know.

Best Wishes,
Rene

You can eventually get through to a person at the mis-information line
without having to enter any receipt number. However, this is well
hidden in the menu somewhere, and the few times I decided to be
mis-informed, it took me some time going through the long winded menus
of choices to hit the 'live person' bonus.

Not that it will help you much tho, as the most likely answer you'll
get will be "You just have to be patient sir. Please contact us again
if you haven't heard from us within 60 days."

In which case an infopass is the way to go.

Thanks Rene for letting me know about the tracking. I didn't know that
before so now I feel better.

Thanks,
Lili
