125% of poverty line? I134
hi there! i have a question...
i will be having my mother as my joint sponsor for my hubbys K3 petition because i am unemployed. I am fixing up the Affidavit of Support documents for my mother and I. I will be submitting my ITR 2000 and my moms ITRs in the last 3 years. I dont understand the 125% of poverty line....are those numbers ...salary in a month or salary in a year? my mom has a household size of 7 once my hubby arrives...how much should her salary be in a month or in a year to be at the 125% of poverty line? thanks for any info! christine |

i read that if Household of 7, the sponsor should be making about $35,000 a month? or $35,000 a year? thats the part i would like to know.....thanks |

yes!!! my mom meets the 125% of poverty line....i hope this will get my hubby here to the USA .....because my problem is that im unemployed :( can my mom be the joint sponsor again during the Adjustment of Status? I-864? thanks |

Not kidding - 125% poverty level for family of 7 is $34,175.

my dad is having to co sponsor my husband and he will have to show income to meet the requirements for a household of 6.
BTW, don't the sponsor AND the co-sponsor have to have the last 3 years tax returns to date? |

It depends on what the consulate wants. Not all consulates want tax returns. Some want w-2s. Moscow, as I read here, doesn't even want the I-134 form. Have whatever the consulate wants. |
