Default *licks his fresh new visa*

YIPEE!!!!!!!! At 5:00 PM today, I got a call from our post office, saying I
had a package. I went down, signed for it. Sure enough, it was my xpresspost
return evelope! I opened it, too anxious to wait till I got home. The first
thing that slid out was my passport. Holding my breath, I skimmed through
the pages. There, a few pages in, was my US Visa, K-3 Valid till Oct 31,
2004 Along with it, was a note that said "Happy belated birthday, Mr.
Audette, hope this qualifies as a good "Birthday Gift"". My birthday was
yesterday, Nov. 3 Also in the package was "The Mysterious Sealed Brown
Envelope" although, more yellow than brown, LOL, and ALL of our original
documents, tax returns, etc. YIPPEE!!!

Jenn is sick, so she could only muster a "YAY!".

She called work, and she's picking me up next Wed, the 13th. We're
celebrating and saying goodbye to some friends, so we wont be shoving off
until the following monday. I'll be sure to post POE experiences as well

BTW, does anyone know (I've checked the poe rolling list site, but doesn't
seem current enough) if the Detriot/Windsor tunnel still issues 90 day temp
working stamps, and if this applies to K-3'ers as well?

MANY thanks in advance.

Our timeline:

1st NOA recieved from MSC: May 16th, 2002
2nd NOA recieved from MSC: Sept. 31, 2002
Recieved packet 3 from Montreal: Oct 11, 2002
Mailed Packet 3: Oct 21, 2002
Got phone call requesting new money order: Oct 28, 2002
Mailed new money order: Oct 29, 2002
Recieved Visa: Nov 4, 2002

Total time for service center side (from first NOA recieved):
5 1/2 months approx (counting weekends, too lazy to go through each month
and delete the weekends, lol)

Total time for consular side (from mailing date of packet 3):
12 days (approx, not counting Sat. and Sundays)

Total time: Approx. 6 1/2 months for visa processing
Total time spent apart: 7 1/2 months
Total booze consumed: None, YET >>~
Braincells lost when recieved visa: 100%

I know my math doesn't add up, but it's a rough estimate I don't have all
my NOA's and such with me, but Jenn does.

Ciao for now, and hang in there folks!

Rete,

Where do I post my experience? I seem to have misplaced the link. I went to
kamya.com, but all I could find were the AOS and K-1 experience pages, none
for K-3. I browsed through the K-1 experiences for Canada, thinking maybe
K-3'ers were nestled in there someplace, but it was only for interview on
K-1 experiences

Evan

My suggestion is to post it under the K-1 heading for now. Indicate at the beginning that it is for a K-3 approval. Perhaps Trish can start up a new category for K-3's since that is fast becoming a favored visa selection on the NG.
