Your Claim to fame ?!

Does anybody have a claim to fame, or a 15 minutes of fame etc.

I'll start this off with a VERY tenuous claim that many many years ago I was actually a contestant on Supermarket sweep with Dale Winton :o (and no we didn't win but got a free night in a hotel in Nottingham)

In my only defence - I had never seen the show and my wife's friend was visiting and asked her to go on it with her - she obviously declined and me having drunk a few too many at the time said I'd do it... :tape:

For obvious reasons I've actually not told many people this so if we make the next Toronto meet up I'll expect a tirade of abuse in addition to any on here.

I was in the same prison wing as Peter Sutcliffe (the Yorkshire Ripper) and Dennis Neilsen.

At the age of 18 I was on the front page of our local paper dressed in a Star Trek uniform.

There is a picture of it floating around my family, Ben keeps threatening to show my co-workers

I won a knobbly knees competition when I was seven. I have a lingering suspicion it was fixed as the judge was a mate of my dads.

I had my photo taken with Lady Baden Powell, when we cut the cake celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Brownies, which was featured in the Bromley newspaper.

(Yup, I'm that old)

:)

i scored five out of five penalties against Peter Shilton in the final of a regional football competition when i was 11. I knew we were f**ked when England were facing the Germans in that world cup semi final shoot out in Turin some 8 years later:thumbdown:
