I'll make you a homemade one and then you will understand, possibly with a jug of gravy...

You get ready-made frozen Yorkie puds in Superstore, plus packet mixes.

Here is a video how to make some from scratch http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-...kshire-pudding

Great website

Readin the heading to this thread, promptly sent me in the kitchen to cook up beans, bacon and wedgies.

Beans were no good though.

Now, if I could only get yorkshire puddings in Sweden.

Screams quietly all alone in the room at school, sciving (canadian word is apparently "goldbricking") should be revising (canadian "studying"), dont care though. shitty tests.

Yorkshire puddings, gravy, make them all yourselves, are you all effing useless? Read a recipe. Make the ruddy things from scratch. It's not rocket science.
HWPeas, try parsnips instead of sausages in toad in the hole, and you might get yorkshire puddings, but then you would need gravy and you wont go there. So no yorkies for you, unless you have them cold with jam ( jelly) in which case you may as well buy an eclair.

Why the heck am I writing this? must get a life, do some studying. Maybe go home. Did I mention I have eaten in the OXO tower? Wasnt up to much, view from the balcony was good.

I never eat gravy in public, or any runny sauce, too messy, I always spill it on me chest and then the stain wont come out.

More students coming in, they must have a class, better go now

Send help, sinking slowly..........

Well said! Top tips for top Yorkshires - add an extra egg white to give extra lift, always rest batter, make sure the oven is piping hot (whack it up after taking meat joint out to 'rest'), put oil in tray and then make sure that's smoking hot too before pouring in batter and then serve immediately so they don't have time to deflate. Perfect every time thanks to my Granny who gave me those tips. She gave me great tips for making good pastry too but perhaps that's another thread.......!!

Just call me Delia! ;)

I always make me own Yorkshires. As long as the oil is smoking hot and you have whisked em like mad they will rise fine. Some peeps say the altitude affects em but ive not found it any different to the UK.

I made proper UK pancakes this week mmmm. I cant be doing with those stodgy thick pancakes they do here, not my cup of tea.

Think il make some more tonight mmm..
