Yay!! About time I had some great news!
At last....after starting what initally was a 2-3 week temp assignment through Manpower back in January, has now turned out the company have taken me on temp/salary until at least September! I am now officially an Alberta government employee!! Yippeeee! 
I'll be on a fantastic wage now and get all the great benefits my colleagues get . The job is the best I've had in a long long time and I've learned soooo much, it's made a new woman outta me!
Now all we have to do is save all our $$$$ and aim for that Nova Scotia move!

Thanks to everyone's best wishes!! I just found out today what I'm going to be starting on and I'm only a loonie behind the OH!!! LOL 
About time I became an equal in this household!
We are aiming to move eastwards, anywhere from 6-12 months as we can't afford to buy a house here (even though I'm on a good wage now). We've weighed up what $200,000 can buy you here in Red Deer compared to Nova Scotia and I'm sorry but it's black and white. Crummie townhouse in doggy area or a 4 bed rancher on 1+ acre of land....Mmmm, let me think about that for a moment
Jobs don't pay as much out there as they do here in AB, but I'd rather have a nice house and a life at the weekend than dishing out $1800 a month on a mortgage here and no money left to go anywhere else but the back deck!!

Those new chocolate doghnuts look good, but then again I have recently been introduced to those little puffs of yum otherwise called honey crueller timbits - oh well choccie dognuts there and a box of puffs of yum to take home - problem solved.
