World Cup 2010 - First game?
Some friends of ours are hosting a "Welcome to Canada/Eng v USA" party on the 12th June. I have to say that given that we'll have just landed, and will be taking June as a holiday, it will be perfect for World Cup watching.
Typical start times will be 3pm EDT. Does that sound about right?
What does everyone have planned, if at all for England's first match?

well, Canada has a 42 year old goalie, which makes David James look young.
Basically every country in the world has a national team...even the likes of

Well that has just added a twist to a BBQ I am hoping to host on that weekend! My plan.......... scream at the screen, England to win.

Personally I couldn't give a toss what Canadians play, whether they're any good at it or even have a team for it.
As for the WC, I don't so much enjoy the games rather endure them which makes the whole situation stressful, and I'm certainly not going to invite any cradles to come over and make copious facile comments while the game is on and drink all my beer.
