Why was this (Biscuits!) thread closed?
 

So I was sat down reading the UK dailies online and came across an article which is very dear to most BE readers hearts. After reading the article I remembered BE still has its expert on the subject of the article and that there was a thread on it.

I went to the search function and saw that there were several threads over the years on the said subject. I clicked on it to see if I could add more useful information to the thread but it was CLOSED.

I thought WTF who decides to close a thread on subject matter that is more important than National Security or who won the latest DWTS or GBBO.
Was this a unilateral decision to close the thread or was there a special BE moderators meeting and a vote to close the thread. If there was a vote then Im fine with that but an individual deciding to close the thread on their own then this smacks of almost 1930s Germany style of rule and Im not happy about it.

Sorry to get in the way of a good anti-mod rant, but it's actually the forum that decides, as threads are closed automatically when they're more than a year old.

I can reopen it if you really want to add to it, although obviously there will need to be payment in large quantities of good biscuits.

:lol: I can accept your explanation but to be fair I did ask as opposed to being totally anti-mod;)
Also Im not sure what would constitute a good biscuit especially if referring to Canadian manufactured biscuits.
This thread will do and any BE reader will have at least the opportunity to have read only privileges to the closed thread.

Popeyes Chicken gives you a biscuit with some meals, though why you'd want on ewith your chicken and fries is beyond me.

Seriously unless I was pissed Im not dunking my chocolate digestives in any type of gravy even if curry flavoured.

As you are probably aware, a biscuit in this context is more like a plain scone. I lived for a while in the south and good made from scratch biscuits smothered in sausage gravy are an absolute delight. But thank you for bringing this topic up this morning as all I've had for breakfast is some sliced apple and something that looks and smells like an owl pellet. :frown:

Isn't there anywhere on this earth where we can speak without anyone using unsavoury language or even unsavoury abbreviations....come on now Lancashire...WTF really means We Thought Finally...right !!!!!!!!!! and then later, wouldn't saying you were 'really mad' or 'disappointed' say the same thing as the word you used. It's much easier on the eyes and ears. No I'm not the word and abbreviation police, but I'd like to be on forums where things are respectful...I mean, why would you assume we all like, or that we don't mind, or accept that it's OK for you to say things in that way--we're not all on the same page as far as accepting ugly language...so, for me, just keep that prose to yourself or use it with people you know, better yet, don't use it at all. I know, you'll tell me not to read this thread...and you'd be right, but at least it gives you food for thought.
There're are biscuits and then there are biscuits, and they are not always the same thing.
