We took a look at some trim on the garage roof yesterday which is going to need replacing. My buddy who has more of a head for heights than me, climbed up to the peak of the house roof and took this picture. I'm thinking we should build an extra storey on to turn the 'ocean glimpses' from the second floor to 'ocean vistas'. What do you think?

I have a lovely view of the transcanada highway and a pole line but no-ones probably interested in that

I'll agree with you. The contractors seems to do campaigns in certain areas. The ones who did my driveway last year did several houses one after the other, including my neighbour, who hadn't even contracted them. I'm sure someone got a right bollocking.

So my additional 5 minute commute over yours would appear to be worth it then?

Did you have a power outage this morning?

Pah, you can keep your stunning ocean view. I'll stick with my big tree and garbage cans / parking lot / middle of Mississauga outlook

There is no 5 minute commute in Paradise just now - My 5 minute hike to work has turned into a 20 minute hair pulling journey this last week

The wife delibrately picked the plot on the pole line as we will never have anyone able to build behind us - Also gives me an easy route to the skidoo trails out of town without having to transport the thing on the back of my truck

Power outage in the office around 9 this morning knocked the internet out for a bit - thats about it

Not looking forward to the 150mm of rain we are supposed to be getting in the next 24 hours - I am half expecting to see my new lawn floating down the street at some point

On the plus side though - I rented the steamroller so I can go have a play with that after work - Wanted to drive one of them "Bad Boys" since I was a kid

And you called me a tight Scotsman on another thread?!

I'm sure some tinks fae Lochee would row all the way over to do your drive for a case of Tennent's Super.

I'm conservative rather than tight - The way dundee has been lately might even get some rowing over from Monifieth to do the driveway

Well that was a disappointment - I was expecting this big F-Off steamroller in the driveway when I got home - what turned up was more like a kiddies toy
