Who would win a fight between a silver back gorilla and a polar bear?
*loser is first to die
*fight to take place in neutral territory - not snow, not jungle, quite cold but not chilly.
*no holds barred
*no weapons
gorilla or polar bear, you decide.

Mmmh was feeling a little depressed about the whole emmigrating/ waiting thing. Knew if I logged on to this site I would find comforting evidence that this process drives other people batty as well.
[relieved sigh].......thanks. I have some perspective back again.

[F]Can’t say I have ever thought about this exact pairing but I see how it must vex the mind.
After much thought I will go for the polar bear. Though I will admit I have no basis upon which I can back up my decision.
Is there any possibility you have the two creatures handy so we can see for ourselves?

This came up a couple of years ago in a very drunken conversation.
