Who remembers 'special' coffee?

Re: Who remembers 'special' coffee?
What a great memory. It was my mums speciality lol that and the standard prawn cocktail. Gonna do this again this year thank you (she always called it a Calypso coffee with Tia Maria I think?)
I know this sounds stupid but what cream would you use over here to float, from memory over there it was double cream - and my cooking / baking / anything to do with food skills are so minimal that I wouldn't have the first clue what the comparable one is over here. Surely not that watered down half and half crap?

im wondering how many people will impress their Canadian friends with this amazing after dinner delight?

I'm struck by the price for the Hock:Liebfraumilch at 22/9 (presumably for a bottle of the shit).
Pre-decimal implies pre-1971 I think? 22/9 in old Brit money works out at about 1.45 euro today.
I can still buy a bottle of more drinkable plonk than that at E. Leclerc for that price today. (Well, not today, because today I'm stuck in Canada).

I found this
Question
My mother was given a bottle of 1966 Siglo Spanish Chablis. We were wondering if it was valuable in any way or if we should go ahead and drink it. And, if we drink it can we expect it to be any good?
Answer
Hi Katie
I am afraid that this one is well past its prime--in fact, it wouldn't even be legal to label a wine like this anymore! Sorry, but it won't have any value on the auction market. My guess is that it is tired, faded, and no fun.
