Hi this is my first, but not last, silly question. Can anyone point in the direction of a squash alternative please. I can find fruit juice, and frozen fruit juice, but nothing like Robinsons or Ribena that you dilute with water.
Thank you muchly.

Certainly here in Alberta I've found Ribena fairly readily available (although not so much as in the UK) in most supermarkets or liquor stores too. It is fairly expensive here and only seems to come in small size bottles. I have found Robinsons in some of the British shops.
Have you tried the frozen juices? You dilute these with water too and I really like them. Personally, I prefer them to squashes from back home.
I hope you find something you like.

you'll be surprised at how easy it is to find a store stocking UK and Irish items.

Thank you for the replies :-). I did chuckle at johnh009's reply. My OH used to play badminton at a local level. I'll try and frozen juice thanks. Not really bothered about it being Robinsons or Ribena I just wasn't sure what the equivalent was called here 'cause I couldn't find it in the supermarkets I've been to (only 3 so far) and the staff were quite bemused. Soda water also caused some consternation. Any other suggestions welcome :-).

It's not always in the most obvious place in the supermarkets either (ie with the rest of the drinks). Sometimes it can be found in the 'foreign food' section. There is a garage near us that sells loads of UK stuff at super-inflated prices. If you find Robinsons squash, expect to pay anything from $5-$8 per bottle!

On a point of pedantry:
In Canadian English Squash means a family of vegetables of the pumpkin, courgettes, eggplant variety.

Here in Edmonton, Walmart sometimes carries the big bottles of Ribena, for about $6.99 I think, and Superstore carries the big bottles too, and they seem to vary the price a bit between $5.99 and $6.99

Hi and Welcome!
Grocery stores like Canadian Superstore, Walmart etc sell Ribena. There will also be British shops dotted around (where are you??) where you can buy squash etc.
