Default Where to find rare and obscure films?

Hi. I am interested in watching several movies that aren't at Chapters etc. Any one out there a movie buff and can tell me where to find rare and obscure films? I can download and burn them (not sure how to do that but I can learn) as this might be easier but also happy to buy DVDs, and I am in a pretty remote area so pretty well have to find things online.

I am currently working on the 1950's, so to give an example of the films I am interested in: Ordet, Wages of Fear, Le Trou, Nuit et Brouillard etc.

Thanks in advance!

Not all films are released on DVD, so that may not help. Places like Amazon.ca, FutureShop.ca etc are all good.

Thanks! Seems they are easier to find than I thought! I had typed in various titles and got nothing, and didn't know the names of any places like the places recommended here (ie zip). Will start doing my searching!

As dbd33 has said, it sounds like zip.ca is your place. We're members because there's only one video rental place in our small village, and they have about 100 movies in total - no joke - and we have satellite internet, with a 525MB/day download limit, so Netflix is not an option.

We've had no problems whatsoever with the zip.ca service and even out in the back of beyond (>3hrs to nearest city) we receive movies no more than 3 or 4 days after they ship them out to us. They usually send replacements when you tell them that you've returned one; not wait until they actually receive it back before shipping another, which is great!

We're on the 3 DVD Unlimited plan for $24.95 per month, and we can have 3 DVDs Out at any time, with no limit to the total number of rentals per month.

PM me if you want any more info, or a referral?
