This question may be not correct but for newcomer it will be great advice and much usefull. Question regarding food products (meat, chease, butter, eggs...); home and kitchen goods (toothpaste, washing powder, shampoo...); garden goods (bbq grill...).

Now if you want to get more expensive toiletries and brand names, drugstores and big department stores and malls would be the place for that.

If it's locations you're after... For groceries, Sobeys and Superstore are really the only two choices in my location. There are other grocery stores but they're convenience stores so many things are a little more expensive and smaller size means far less choice.
Walmart, Zellers and Sears for the house/garden stuff.

I'm a big fan of Canadian Tire. Exemplary customer service, quality merchandise and that wonderful money they give you that's just like the real thing.

London Drugs - they have everything and cheaper.
I found the Krups espresso maker that I want in there and it's $20.00 cheaper than in Sears.

Usually one would have to hunt down some animals, skin them, and exchange their pelts for such items from European traders.
