"L"......sorry I didn't even know this thread existed until I thought I'd have a sneaky nosey on Expats after a week off it!! You know I've been staying away. So sorry to hear about your mum....but for now, you can take a breather in that everything must be ok for them to release her from hospital
Let's see what the scan brings eh. Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to give you a call Monday to arrange for a meet up if you're up to it this week

Thanks again folks, I am sitting here impatiently waiting for the phone to ring so my Mum can tell me how the scan went today - really I think she should be in bed by now but she said she would call at 10pm UK time so she could tell me about it and let me know when the results are in.
Rubes, I think a chat would be good this week.
Rosylady, thank you for the support.
Caitilin, it's because of past history - the last op she went for I was told was an explority and nothing to worry about - it was over 2 years before I found out that the survival rate for the particular op she had was only 1 in 8.

Well! Today I have heard from my Mum, she has at last had the much awaited test results and dada dummmmm, she's not got cancer! The consultant/specialist isn't sure what is going on with her and she may need an op, he has said there is an op but he won't do it on her unless absolutley necessary but there is a smaller op that she may need to have but he's not sure as she isn't a 'Usual' case. So she got 'Usually we would expect abc to happen but in your case ab and z happened.' So she will be kept an eye on. But it's not the BIG C! YAY!
