Floors look good for a few days untill you see paw prints, visiting babies hand prints etc drives me NUTS some days......

I built some bookshelves in our family room... here's a picture of work in progress, and one of the shelves being put to good use a couple of weeks ago...

Can't wait to get there and start my next home project.
Do any of you reccommend a kithcen/dining/livingroom all open plan. It seems to be the way in most Canadian homes but I find it hard to get used to.
I quite like to sit down at night OUT of the kitchen

I had my eye on that bedroom set for about 2 months but other half said it was tooooooooo expensive. Luckily it was in a sell with 20% of and he gave in (you just need to say the right things
and they will do anything!) when we got to the till the lady took 20% off. A few hours later she called us at home to let us know she had made a mistake and it already had the 20% off in that sell price!and she should not have taken a further 20% off at the till.
Husband said well thats the price you sold to us for etc etc and she said ok i just wanted to let you know what a good deal you got
So i got the bed i wanted and husband was happy that he had got a good deal.
