Me and Mr B are heading to Vancouver for some retail therapy and good food.

Any recommendations for food (we like everything!) and is there anything cool going on in Vangroovy that we should look out for?!

It's the May long weekend so everyone is heading out of the city to do things.

The Cloverdale Rodeo is on over the weekend. It is not as big as Calgary but still supposed to be good if you like that sort of thing.

The Museum of Anthropology is definitely worth a visit IMHO. If you only have the weekend you'll want to walk the seawall around Stanley Park (rent bikes if you like). Denman and Davie streets have casual restaurants serving food from all over the world.

Check out Rodney's Oyster House in Yaletown. Get there between 4 and 6 and a lot of the stuff is happy hour prices.

My father-in-law's having a BBQ tomorrow if that helps?

He has assorted stuff on offer, including freshly shot Canada Goose, Deer, Moose, and corn-on-the-cob.
