Default What I really h8 about Canada

This has bugged me for years.
After 20 odd years in Canada it still irritates me.

Instead of saying "tasty" they say "flavorful," or "flavorsome."

What the heck is wrong with "Tasty?"

What's wrong with Flavourful or flavourome?

for a start they don't say "flavourful," they say it "flavorful!"

They're words to lose your teeth on, too many syllables, they're trying to be posh, they're pretensious words.

There's nowt wrong wi' good old down to earth English words. Just try and imagine Les Dawson saying "flavorful."

How many men say "Ooh that gravy is flavorful"?

They say, "Eh-up that were right tasty that were!"

At least where I come from!

In Canadian it's flavour and not the US flavor. Still not tasty though

Hmmmm... I wonder if it depends on the area of Canada.

I'm born and bred Canadian and really only recall saying tasty rather than flavourful.

In almost 40 years in Canada I can't recall hearing that. It's always been tasty as far as I can remember. Must be a Calgary thing.

Me too! Perhaps the title should read "Things I h8 about Calgary"

Or better yet, replace h8 with "hate"

No I h8 it, I don't hate it - that's far too strong.

You know I've never heard tasty in a TV commercial - it's always flavorful.

Not a big gripe I know, but after all these years, man and boy, it's the one that gets me!

It was a guy on a balcony and the camera panned out and there were multiple balcones with guys on all singing the same song as their wives served them Bran Flakes to unclog their bowels.
