A variant on "One's man's wheat is another man's poison"?

Or the French equivalent, "La viande d'un, pour l'autre le poisson".

For ages and ages after it was first mentioned on her I was looking for it in the superstore near us. Never did find it.

Then I asked at customer service, and they confirmed that they did stock it, but it sells out so fast that they were having trouble keeping enough of it on the shelves. They have obviously been buying larger quantities of it now because they seem to have plenty of it now.

That goes with coeliac disease usually.

You can be coeliac and have no noticeable reaction to it, but your insides can be effed up. I wouldn't risk it.

It all depends, but as the gluten content is minimal the european health bodies allow it and its what is provided on prescription by the NHS. The actual gluten content is on a par with products who have the warning about being produced in a facility that produces non GF products.

Processed food yes but I find that most meat, fish, fruit and vegetables are gluten free so I don't have a major problem.

Bought at my local Thrifty Store, in Victoria BC. However, I agree with dbd33, not advertised as such in Ontario, but were still available . ( Recently moved to BC from Ontario )

I wonder what " free range" actually means. I believe in the UK it was a protected term which meantbthe hens had to be kept in certain conditions. Here I think they are a little more liberal with the terms.

Inside the egg box it says 'Island Gold Free Range eggs are produced from hens that are free to roam in weather sheltered barns and have access to outdoor pasture areas. These conditions allow our Free Range hens to roost, perch, nest and feed'

fair enough , I just know that in the UK there are regs about how big the access has to be etc. to stop the situation of 3 thousand hens with a 30cm by 30 cm access hole to outside being called free range

In the UK you can even see hens roaming round in fields. Same with pigs, pigs in fields, no pigs in fields here.
