If you can eat mashed potatoes with gravy, you can eat poutine. Think of it as pre-mashed potatoes with gravy (and cheese for good measure!)

Tried some for the first time last month and have to admit that I really liked it, mind you I love chips and gravy, the extra cheese doesn't look appealing but it tastes alright.

I've lived here my whole life and it took me 42 years to work up enough courage to try it.

I'm a convert now though. When the cheese curds start to melt over those hot chips....mmmm

A word of warning to Poutine virgins though....Dont mistake chips with cheese and gravy for Poutine!...too many people seem to cheap out and use with grated motza or cheddar, rather than getting proper cheese curds
