Do you name your car?? In our household every car has a name......We have:
Ginty the Golf (My car MK2 Golf Gti, my baby, will cry when I sell her.)
Jilly the Jeep (4lt LPG converted Grand Cherokee, OH practical family car.)
The Snot Monster (V8 LPG converted Discovery, the weekend toy, used for green laning and trialing, lots of fun in the mud.)
Roxy the Racer (3.5 V8, used for Comp Safari racing - the big toy, lots of fun racing around in the mud.)
Martha the Morris (1965 Morris Minor that OH rebuilt 10 years ago, boy racer version, with 1.8 fiat twin cam engine, and lots of exciting mods, now merrily rusting away on the drive and in desperate need of another rebuild.)
Connie the Caravan (1973 Sprite used for family horrors - I mean holidays.)
Terence the Trailer (used to transport all the above crap around.)
Lenny the Lawnmower (self explanatory.)
Finally I am thing of naming our shed.... Sheila, she has enough engines, gearboxes, axles and diffs in her to make several cars..... All she would have to do then, is drive to the bottom to pick up some body panels, drive to the side of the garden to take her pick of tyres (we have plenty). Next stop, side of the house for a choice of glass, springs and exhausts. Final stop, the driveway to attempt to fit in with the others!
Sad I know... What more could a girl want, I grew up with a petrol head father, married a petrol head (engineer), luckily I'm a petrol head too!
I definately blame my parents!
So does your car have a name? if so what, and why????

Crikey - you have more cars than I've had hot dinners so far this year!!!!!!!!!
My first car was a Volvo 340 and was called Betsy.
My current car - a slowly dying Daihatsu Couore (sp) is called the Roller Skate as that is what it looks like its so small!
As for my shed - well, that is just the shed....!

I've never been one for naming my cars but I had a coworker who named his.
He had a Checker Cab at one time he called that one "Chubby".
He currently has a Subaru Outback called "Sheila".
Edit: Just remembered we had a 1974 Pontiac Astre we called it the Ash Tray.

The subaru is "Ruby" as its red, and is a rubysube.
The mazda is "Slug"...due to green colour and general performance level, and my general dislike for driving it.

On the subject of cars, I couldn't help noticing on my recent trip to the UK the appearance of various Chrysler models. 300's, PT Cruisers, Ram trucks, even a Crossfire...
I even saw newspaper ads for the Dodge Nitro.
This is very new, surely?
