Of course, I should really not be surprised. The Environment Canada website when I looked this morning said the high for Regina for today was going to be 9 below. At the time I thought -- yeah right - the temperature at that time was 24 below!
Anyway, its now 1.25pm and the temperature has already zoomed up to 20 below. Anybody want to place any bets as to whether it makes it to 9 below today?

Hey - you were just about right. I went upstairs around 6.30 and it was 11 below shown on the Weather Network channel!

At one time I could not see a thing except white, the snow was swirling around on the highway and literally made me feel sick it was so disorienting I felt that I wasn't moving anywhere - all a new experience for me.
AND what made it worse were the bloody pickup drivers flying past me at 120 kph wipping up the snow so it made it worse for me to see. Boy wasn't I happy to turn off the 11 onto the 54 that last few kilometres home couldn't go quick enough.

Yes, I don't know if you get used to that. I get sick sitting on a kid's swing and driving in that snow - I am like you - it makes me feel like I am going to throw up.
It was odd because I went out to shovel some of the snow off the deck so the dogs can get out and it was blowing like crazy and snowing. Then my husband phoned and said he was going to Superstore if the weather wasn't too bad, but he said by the time he left work it was perfectly clear and that wasn't that much later on.
I was hoping for a warm up today but I see its still 25 below!
BTW the guy I work for has a little square contraption that he got for $25 at Canadian Tire. You plug it in between the cord from your block heater and the extension cord and it has lights on that apparently show that there is electricity going through the cord and your block heater isn't burnt out.
I thought it would be a great idea as I always wonder when I plug the car in whether the darn thing is actually working. Of course I am told that you can hear it - but I have never been able to.
