some friends have offered to help. A couple are helping us load after work on Tuesday and unload on Wednesday and another 2 are helping us unload.
I have bought some bourbon and wine as thank you pressies. We plan on ordering pizzas and salads for delivery at the new house. What can I do for when we are loading up? hot dogs maybe?
Does this sound a good plan at all? What did you do when you moved?

What lovely friends! In the UK, I did BLT rolls - had all the stuff to one side and then packed up the frying pan last ! And the kettle, of course. Basically I had one last box of kitchen bits and bobs shoved on the back seat of the car when I finally locked up. It also makes the kettle easy to find at the other end
I don't know if BLT sandwiches are common over here - but they sure do go down well.
Very good luck with the move - a knackering couple of days but it'll be super for you to get all sorted and put your feet up ....

Yes, we have some good friends here.
BLTs, maybe bacon butties as the 2 men who will be doing most of the lifting etc dont do "messed up" food.
The 3 women are thin so they wont do mayo, which would leave me! I can cook the bacon in the microwave I think, and do butties. Good plan.
We are moving 20 miles, not far but fit means all these friends will have at least an hours journey home. They are lovely people!

Can you delay the move till Friday? Could do with some Pizza, Salad, Bourbon and a prezzie... Only kidding!
Heading up to friends this Friday for the weekend. They live near the YMCA. I really like Peterborough and the drive up from Toronto is nice. Last time I was there I went to a Belgian bar - it's on a corner street but I can't recall the name. You know it?
Hope your move goes well and not too stressful. Remember to keep the pussy cat indoors before the move - don't want it going out and returning to an empty house.
Ian :-)

Thanks, am really stressed out now, much more so than when we moved from England to here.
Still havent finished packing. maybe tonight. We have been and signed everything. Moving house has cost us $20000, so we wont be moving again, ever.
Thanks for all the good wishes. Maybe next year will see some more of you people from here, especially those who we are moving closer to*. You know who you are!!
to whom we are moving closer*
am too tired for grama...
