We have a Stonehenge too

Who needs Stonehenge when you've got a great big rock!

Big Rock, otherwise known as the Okotoks Erratic, though I though that title had been nabbed by a long-time member of BE!
It's a single rock, pushed by glaciers from Jasper, who then left on a bus (to add an Eddie Izzardism)!

Stonehenge also has a brewery near by at Netheravon:

Having lived near Stonehenge for years I always wondered when they would get the roof on !

I was brought up in the Wyle Valley but travelled that road most days as I worked in that area. Beautiful area ,possibly kept it's natural look due to teh army ranges nearby. Spent a few years at Stonehenge when they aloowed people near the stones during the summer solstice. Unfortunately now it's fenced off and comes with a charge ! I always prefered Avebury Circle as a historic sight, that was quite eerie at times .

We used to live about 15-20 mins away from that bloke.

When we lived in Ireland we constructed our own stone circle in the front garden. We used stones dug up from our building excavations.
Our wedding photos were also taken in a stone circle where the atmosphere was really electric, not the place to go at Halloween. It all tied in with our beliefs though as Vera's wedding dress was hand painted with faeries, a spiders web on the back and my buttonhole consisted of a black carnation. Our wedding cake was iced in black and covered with a white spiders web with a model of Shelob on the top.
Needless to say, despite being in Ireland, there was not a priest in sight.
