VPN/DNS
So can anyone recommend one? I might dump unotelly seeing as it's never sorted the iPlayer problem.
Thanks

Re: VPN/DNS
We use Express VPN. Have had no issues for just over a year now. 24hr online support is good too- used it on a few occasions.

Never used one, always used Filmon via Roku box but now they seem to have gone under as nothing records and nobody can reach them by phone or mail and support is down. Since this i am now trying TVMUCHO which has TV catch up so you can watch all UK channels and go back several days.
Cost 7.99 euros a month but is only 4 euros if you pay for a year. I don't trust these companies enough to pay that far in advance although 48 euros won't brake the bank i guess

I've used IPVanish for almost a year, reasonably priced and very reliable, you can easily switch your server of choice, and IIRC you can use your account on five of your devices

Bloody pirates and law breakers the lot of you.
Luckily Im off next Monday so will need to find a river to watch the Yernited Stoke game as its not on TSN and $20 a month for Sportsnet World Live is bloody outrageous compared to when it used to be Setanta carrying most PL games.

'World' is now very much the minor game(s) of the weekend although it's noticeable they seem to have more games of more interest than, say, a year ago.
But that negligible extra cost of including all the TSNs and other Sportsnet channels is dwarfed by the cost of 'World' for so few games and I'm surprised the powers that be don't see that. If it was $5 a month I'd probably pay it.
I took it for about three weeks last season when there were big games exclusive to them including the cup final.

My sentiments too. Hoxx is currently not working for BBCiPlayer (comes and goes) although still works for ITV. Still plenty of alternatives to avoid paying though.
I kind of agree. Setanta used to be $15 or $16 for a better selection.

If you have Sportsnet World it is the only way on TV to really watch Bundesligia if that is your thing.
I cancelled Sportsnet World about 7 or so years ago once Sportsnet regular and TSN started showing more games. Sometimes Sportsnet World is the only Canadian way to watch the 12h30 (EST) game on a Saturday but often times NBC has the game on the basic cable channel.

One of the listings websites says some games are on CNBC but we get that channel and there's never anything on at those times.

I think what we get in Canada is CNBC World not the standard CNBC.

The website suggests its a business channel but when I look at the guide randomly, the content doesn't sound business like.

Hoxx seems to be erratic. yesterday it would not get iplayer and IP lookup said I was logged onto a US server, even though my Hoxx icon showed GB! Cleared cache etc, tried again and this time it was a UK server! Worked OK then.

Re: VPN/DNS
No hoxx in the cache but there was some vpn there - express something or other, so I cleared those. It still said UK as usual and the look up still had USA.
Okay I thought, let's have a look at this leak thing that I had noted, clicked the IP look up again and this time it said UK and not USA. Perhaps it just needed a couple of minutes to change? Tried iPlayer and it worked.
So that's something worth thinking about next time, then. Cheers.

Re: VPN/DNS
We used NordVPN over Christmas as it has a three day free trial. It was fine but using it reminded us of what a pain it is to stream iPlayer.
When I was searching for a VPN I read an article that said HOXX was a bit dodgy in its terms and conditions selling your data.
