I'm usually asleep before nine, they're all speed dates.

*****ing freezing in Toronto.
I have job interview in Manhattan on Monday. I fly tomorrow night and have to fly from Pearson so my Valentines Evening is spent sitting round an airport and on a plane. Sadly the job isn't in Manhattan so regardless of outcome I'm back in Toronto on Monday. |

We might Skype. Or then again we might not. We're not manufactured-greeting-card-company "romance" fans ;).
Actually, the moral support by text that I'm getting right now as I try to assemble an Ikea product is probably an excellent Valentine present :). |

Re: Valentine's Day
A chilled out day in Cornwall here. Gorgeous breakfast at the cafe down the road, followed by a walk on the beach with the dog, now back relaxing with the papers and waiting for the rugby to start.
Hubby is in Norway though. :D |

My Valentines gift to my OH was not taking him to IKEA today!! And I will build the furniture!
Mr Not-a-Romantic did surprise me this morning. I came home from an extremely chilly walk to discover a gift basket full of treats on the doorstep: he'd conspired with my neighbours to get it there :). I'm feeling a bit gobsmacked, & a bit mushy, to be honest... |

Re: Valentine's Day
Rain was coming down like stair rods last night. Sounds to me like it hasn't stopped yet either, so the dog will be on the 'express walk' this morning!
Set off to go to our local pub (Black Sheep) for tea last night, only to find that the car park and pub were rammed to overflowing. Combination of iced hockey on the TVs and Valentines I guess. Went off in search of somewhere else and decided to try a new pub in Maple Ridge owned by Mission Springs Brewing Co. Initial signs weren't good (ie there were parking spaces....), however the food and the craft beers were excellent! 39 beers on tap including other craft breweries and a few cooking beers. Exchanged cards etc last night and Mrs. Withabix will no doubt surface this morning at some stage for a bacon butty (proper bacon, not the smoked fatty stuff). I can't sleep past 5.30am no matter what day of the week it is.... |
