Valentines Day

What do you do for Valentines Day? Last year it was a pizza and Mario Kart but it didn't seem to go down as well as I thought.
Flowers are so expensive at this time of year and restaurants seem to jack up the prices for their meals or they are ridiculously busy. Got any suggestions?

hhhmph - oh lucky to be getting anything this year - couple of years ago dressed up in the gear (like you do) and he kept trying to stare around my impressions of sexy dancing to watch the Flames on tele.
A card from the dollar store and a sparkly plastic flower should do.

Every year I hope my OH will do something romantic. Every year he does not. Our own little Groundhog Day :0)

I'm learning towards The Keg as they have a big t-bone steak on their Winter Grill menu that I'd like to have. As long as we've ordered by about 5:00pm I think we can avoid the rush.

Last year we spent half the day planting seeds.
We watched what we planted grow for months afterwards; such a pleasant and continuous reminder of how we spent that special day.

You'll have to find a Keg with a TV mounted on a wall facing you because, irrc, you prefer to watch despicable North American crap TV when you're having a nice meal.

I always cook my Husband his favourite meal and we exchange cards.
I have told him I never want flowers on Valentine's and I never want to be taken for dinner on Valentines or Mother's Day. For some reason he seems to think I don't want flowers at all anymore

Well, seeing as it falls on a Monday this year, the evening will be spent running my daughter to and from Cubs, followed by getting the kids to bed and then probably falling asleep in front of the TV.

I'm taking a late flight back to Toronto from Calgary. If I have enough to drink in the lounge first I'm thinking I will have a crack at an FA on the plane. Should work out well.
