BE Usernames?
#1
I've just realised that I hate my BE username. 'London Mike'? Give me a break! Was I that imaginative when I signed up quickly to ask those ever so important questions on the forum ...? It's just not me. I don't even think of myself as a Londoner even though I spent 10 years there.
If I could start over, I'd choose something funkier or at least something less banal. 'dubnobasswithmyheadman' or something like that.
If you could start over, what would you call yourself? Also, whose username do you like on BE? I quite go for 'Mandymoochops' and 'FlirtyKnickers'. Sorry lads, can't think of any decent usernames amongst the chaps!

I'd quite like to just be the real life me. Unfortunately, the advantages of anonymity outweigh those of the open-book life that I like to live
Kinda shitty, really, this trustworthy yet untrustworthy virtual world we share.
Perhaps they could add a depth to the entire forum, e.g. when you reach n posts and have sufficient peer votes, all the avatars and usernames become the people we actually are?

You can change your name easily. Just message IainK or someone else in a position of importance and let them know what you want to be going forward. Job done!

I very unimaginatively changed from being TrishB to TrishP this week - at least I remember my login name

When I joined most people thought I was a woman. I'm not. And I'm not a gay florist either. Which surprises quite a lot of people too. But I was a florist and have always been a man. Just breaking stereotypes, that's all.
