Default US Public Liability Insurance

Does anybody know if it is possible to get public liability insurance in Canada that covers events in the USA ?
The company I use say my present policy doesn`t cover America and it would cost $800 extra to cover that but I wouldn`t be able to obtain documentation naming the specific event which I`d need.

Yes, it is easily possible. But expensive.

[Edit to add] You need to talk to a broker who has experience of US liability.

Took your advice Jonboy, I spoke with a different broker to mine. She said there should be no reason for my current insurer not to be able to cover me but recommended PalCanada, they issue single event cover and she also told me it would be cheaper to contact them directly than go through her, very decent of her.
Waiting to hear back from Pal and my own broker.
