OK so I have been here 3 years next month & am now TOTALLY fed up of listening to the Bounce, Kool FM and all the other crappy stations available in Halifax...

I download podcasts of UK shows which are FAB however, no music only chat & I am fed up of the same 10 tracks (bounce), 80's (Kool FM) or country so my question is

Can I get something for the car that WILL play English Radio Stations ie... Radio 1, 2 etc.. so I can listen to some decent presenters & music

Xm Satellite Radio, has Radio 1 on a 6 hour delay, and World Service, + loads of other (non UK) channels.

i always listen to Radio 1 on my way into work...pity they dont do talk sport on satellite radio or do they???

If your car has a thing for an mp3 player then you might be able to get something through your phone - if you've got a blackberry or iphone or something like that.

Yeah or if you have a Nokia phone you can use Nokia Internet Radio and then take the audio output and feed it to your car. It'll use up your 3G usage allowance though, probably about the same as skype, 40MB/hour or so.

I once tried to set up Radio 2 with an 8 hour delay on my Server but I could never get it working.

If you have an iphone there is an app which has links to thousands of radio stations including UK. Maybe you could try that or something similar.
