No it couldn't
. Since we're neither Scandianavian, Baltic or Balkan - and we don't have a large concentration of expats in any particular countries in Europe - we won't get the advantage of the block voting that goes on.
Wogan's comments on the voting are almost funnier than his commentary on the little video pieces between the songs - like the fact that the Greeks and Cypriots always give each other douze points; the Turkish community in Germany almost always skews German voting in favour of the turkish entry; Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia seem to share each others' favours; etc, etc ad nauseam.
It was always compulsory viewing in our household, but only when lubricated by sufficient beer to dull the pain of the off-key singing. In my defence, though, I can't be a real addict because I haven't felt the lack since being here.

I'm with you, I love Terry's comments on the Eurovision and I was just saying to my husband the other day that I would really miss it.
