For the TV streamers

Can anyone tell me what's the better one out of the Ouya Box & The Roku 3 - I am getting conflicting reports on both .

Have seen a few people complaining about the Ouya not being comparable to the Wii and the Xbox but I have no interest in using it to play games just more for making the "tv a smart tv option"

I did think for a short time about the apple tv but to be honest I am a bit against the whole " apple system " ( a bit ironic considering there are at least 6 apple devices in the house :) )
One of the reputable reviewers ( I think Cnet ) was pretty big that if you don't like the apple format then Roku was the way to go

Fair enough. I really only use it for mirroring my computer to the tv anyway.

Strange you should say that - I just got off the phone with a friend who said that if I was looking to use it for mostly doing a mirror of the computer then go for the apple tv rather than the roku  .

This has got me all addled again - I thought I had it down to a straight choice between the Roku 3 or the Ouya box

You and me both to the words in BOLD. Apple is for the pretentious types, that like to sit in Starbucks updating their facebook status, whilst holding their iPhone for people to see, and their iPad

I have quite a few Apple products but I don't like coffee, I'm a bit confused what to do.

We have the Roku 2 and now it is set to pretend to be in USA, I like it. Canadian content is quite dull, as you would expect.

Can you get UK stuff on it?

There is a subscription channel you can get for it, or use a VPN.

AppleTV does work great, if you've got Apple devices. It's a bit shit working with other stuff and a lot of the content requires you have the cable services to log into the the channels to work, which somehow defies the point.

Also a fair bit more expensive than the other contenders. It is nice though.

Or just for those who want the product to work seamlessly.

Apple TV in my houses plus Netflix, tailored for the appropriate region.
