One upside is the Senate may end up with not enough votes to rush through the supreme court nominee before the election if they end up with more than 3 senators out sick at any time, more than 3 senators out sick unable to vote means they wont have enough votes to confirm.

Trump doesn't even try to pretend he tells the truth anymore....and well some of his supporters probably think its truth.

That's Trump's formula - go on Fox News to do an interview, or hold a rally or some press event, then claim to have done a ton of amazing things that he hasn't actually accomplished. I remember a couple of times he said he has completely reformed and fixed the justice system. On Fox News the interviewer will not challenge him to prove his claims, and in the other circumstances he also avoids answering questions. His supporters just think "wow it's so great he's done this stuff" and don't apply any critical thinking.
