Re: Trump Trump Trump
As a fan of leaders who apparently have total control of their country, eg Kim Jong Un, Putin, Xi etc, he seeks to become like them. What do they all have in common, apart from being insane? Well all have or had walls.. some of them have very big walls.
And... what do walls do?
As leaders of the USSR and the GDR understood so well and why prisons have nice high walls, nobody wants to come in, it's that walls are very good at stopping people getting out.
This deployment to his northern border has nothing to do with how how thinks about Canada, it's all about stopping his base fleeing the country. This would, of course, affect the outcome of the forthcoming election... if there is one.

You have to understand how the man thinks and why he does what he does.

Canada has just over 4000 corona cases, the US has over 82000.... whats going through this mans mind. He is clueless. he has a one track mind and couldn't care less about the American people. I think the US will the worst hit country in the world thanks to Donald constantly playing it down and not taking appropriate measures,

But then the other side of Trumps voters are those with investments - a soaring economy means stocks/shares are going up in value, those work in the oil/gas are backing trump as he supports their industry.
In the same way in the UK whilst one might despise of the tory party, if your running a business, have a large amount of investments or the like - the wise choice to protect your own house is voting for the tories.
Brexit - no rhyme nor reason to it, even the staunch racists didn't really get what they wanted, as they don't understand the people they typically don't like typically don't come from the EU, they are either born in the UK and are 3rd/4th generation british, or come from outside the EU so aren't impacted by us being in or out the EU

It was a slightly more combative than usual, but not as hardball as John Crace's (Guardian) review suggested. It would be nice to see this big oaf ripped apart by a confident interviewer. Andrew Neil, perhaps?

I don't think I even need to comment, it actually feels like a comedy sketch but is actually an interview with the most powerful man in the world.
