Looking forward to the friendly and may even go to a few TFC game's this season.

I'm guessing with these expensive purchases that the price of beer at BMO field won't be reduced.

I doubt it will !!!

Gilberto was signed too last month. We will see how good Ryan Nelson thinks he is at management when all these egos arrive.

A playoff place could be a real possibility this year.

Not "The" Gilberto but a Gilberto. There are like twenty Brazialian players with the same name.

Still probably a step up on what Toronto had.

I don't know enough about the strength and depth of MLS squads but I would think that Toronto FC fans can be more optimistic.

Optimistic? yeh every one is looking fwd to this season for the right reasons this time.

Not being a glory hunter I am stuck supporting the place wher I live, Blackpool and now Toronto. It would be nice to actually be part of a successful club for a change.

Be thankful you're not a Pompey supporter. Their journey up and down the divisions makes the emotional rollercoaster of immigration look like a calm day on a millpond :sneaky:... when I started supporting them in the 70s they went from D2 through D3 to D4 in four seasons, then back up again not quite as quickly.

After a steady run in tier 2 (old D2 then D1 when the Prem started) they spent a few seasons in the top flight, but it's been - how to put it politely - a bit chaotic since then: in and out of administration twice and relegated three times since winning the FA Cup in 2008. Currently languishing only a couple of places clear of the relegation zone of League Two.

Try being a Man City fan like me. That was a nightmare from basically when I started (1992) til a few years back when the wallet got opened.
