My granddaughter's Mom told me that she gets into trouble at my house. She told me that my granddaughter went skinny dipping in my pool with her friends - four 14 year old girls that she goes to school with. She also took "dirty photos". She said they were all lined up by the neighbour's fence.

I went down on my granddaughter's computer and found the said "dirty" photo. It was a photo of four girls standing at the side of the pool by my neighbour's fence (a solid wood fence) with their backs to the camera, and they had pulled the bottoms of their bikinis down and you could see their butts. Nobody else would know who the photo was of - I recognized my pool so I knew it was them! I hate to admit this - but I have seen girls' butts before now!

And as to skinny dipping - now if my pool was down the end of the garden and I discovered that the five girls had gone skinny dipping - I quite frankly could care less!

But my pool is right outside the back windows of my house and I know for a fact that neither my granddaughter, nor her friends would ever let ME see them naked - let alone her grandfather!!!

What is that woman about?? Skinny dipping - unrecognizable photos of backs!!!

And now my granddaughter says her Mom is mad at her because the four days she stays at her Mom's when her Dad is working, she goes in her room and reads books and totally ignores her Mom and her husband! Anybody know any 14 year olds who want to sit on the sofa with her Mom and her new husband and watch TV with them!!

What is to become of my granddaughter?? Reading BOOKS for heaven's sake!

I'm not sure of the ethics of searching for a file on someone elses computer, isnt that like opening a filing cabinet and having a rummage??? I am sure you are worried about your granddaughter but to me your hate for her mother comes over more than concern for the child. I hope I am wrong.

Face it shes not your child, and unless she is in need of a social worker just butt out.

Yes, Daft Batty, I know she is only my grandchild. What ticked me off the most was her mother accusing me of allowing her to get into trouble at my house. She is a really good kid. They watch movies and drink all my pop and waste quite a bit of it. That is the only trouble they get into.

And the accusations were a load of bunk. She did not go skinny dipping, although I wouldn't have cared if she did that with a bunch of girlfriends. And she did not take any dirty photos.

If her mother hadn't made those accusations, I wouldn't have been mad. I don't hate her mother. I just hate it when she accuses me of things - and I get the impression even she knows they aren't really true. Its just she has to be bitchy and I happen to be handy at the time.

Usually I get along fine with her mother. Just sometimes I think she is affected by the phases of the moon or something and she becomes totally unreasonable. She actually told me many years ago that she is a bitch! She is like Jekyll and Hyde and you never know when she is going to turn into the mean one!

If I was in your position I would email a photo of your own bare butt to the mom, with "thinking of you..." or some similar sentiment written across it.

I guess my problem is that I am not a moody person. I never sulk. I just cannot handle people like that. One day they are super friendly - the next day you get an earful.

Yeah I do that. I tell my girlfriend I have picked out some new flooring for my kitchen and diningroom and send her pics etc. etc. and she comes back and tells me I have already sent the very same thing before!!!
