Re: Tim Horton's
I really don't know the purpose of this thread/question. If it's a further attempt to denigrate the existence of TH or the many people who patronize it, it's a complete waste of time. It is one of the largest restaurant chains in the world, loved by many Canadiians who don't care one whit what the marble filled mouths of snobby Brits think. If you've come to Canada for financial improvement/success you should look into buying a Timmies franchise. If you knew how much profit the average TH outlet throws off it would boggle your minds.

Never quite understood the predeliction for British Expats to crow about how they are so glad they came to Canada, and then denigrate almost everything about the place. Odd, really! Perhaps they resent losing the Empire? Want to treat the natives in a paternalistic manner!

I voted none as we live 5km out of town but there is one in Almonte and about a million in Ottawa.

I live in downtown Vancouver so probably 20+ for me. I like Tim Horton's though, I even have a Tim card.

I thought the marketing said that the entire amount a vendor pays will be donated to the Red Cross so, give a dollar to the Red Cross and obtain a donut while doing so
I appreciate that I may have this wrong

Re: Tim Horton's
So folk will go into a TH just to buy a charity donut? I don't think marketing works quite like that.

Re: Tim Horton's
It was my understanding that, essentially, Timmies are giving the donuts away for free, so long as one makes a donation to the Red Cross.
I have to admit to finding it heart warming to note the assistance that strangers have applied to one another here. Maybe it's just an Alberta thing.
