We found name brand ones and Co-op brand ones but they all tasted the same. We could go through a stack of those in an afternoon.

We found a couple of England stores in Calgary but neither of them have those particular cookies.

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to go back for another visit.

Where are you? Anywhere near Calgary, cos if so I can bring you a few packs when we next come out (planned for Thanksgiving so say 1st-2nd week October). Failing that (as I don't think you can mail foodstuffs) maybe post a plea on Maple Leaf for anyone coming your way to take pity and bring donations of Garibaldi biscuits. (And you're right the Coop or other no-name brands are basically just as good as the brand ones).

all this talk of garibaldi's yesterday made me have to buy some last night in tescos - a bargain at 52p (down from 54p previously!) tesco's own brand (20 in a packet)

tesco's fruit shortcakes (another favourite) were only 34p and possibly more than 20 in the packet!! :D

We actually found something almost like this last night at Co-op. A box of assorted Peek Freans. The problem is they aren't quite right (although very close) and there are only 4 in a box of about 40 cookies :(

So... I just might accept newshoney's offer to bring some over at Thanksgiving.

I also found the assorted tea biscuits ( peek freans ) at save on foods and after trying ;):D decided they weren't worth mentioning. Did you check out the above link, britishvixen21 put in for you? you can get the Mcviti's fruit shortcake from there by ordering on line

Okay, I just bought 10 packs. Almost $50 including shipping.

Hopefully these are the ones.

Hopefully its not a fly by night outfit.

Hmmmm, lets see. Last time I bought them it was the Co-op brand in Leek (I think). One pack was gone by the time we got back to Chesterfield.

So maybe 6 hours tops.
