Default Thanksgiving - turkey or something else?

Well, that time of year is fast approaching - the one where everything suddenly begins to smell of Pumpkin Spice and the decision of what to serve to the family for dinner rears its ugly head.

I am considering a free range goose, a flock of which I pass on my way to work every day and which are fattening up nicely.
Any good recipes for accompaniments would be nice.

What about you?

Yes, work may detain me as well - and I won't be getting time and a half or better - but what are you EATING?

That's what it means to be Casual, I suppose.

If not, let me know, but I have worked most of the stat holidays this year and don't remember seeing any additional money in my pay packet.

And that is why you get no extra compensation for working a stat holiday.
Now those working for the Govt or certain unionized jobs will see a variety of compensation benefits when working a stat holiday.
Some find this unfair but hey nobody said life was going to be fair. Some will say the ones working on a stat holiday deserve compensating because they are forced to work while the vast majority get the day off to spend with their families.
