There's nothing more absorbing than a good test match. Many MANY times, I've attempted to explain the rules of cricket, whether test or one day. Nah, 'they' don't 'get it' do they?

Way more absorbing than The World Series of Rounders & the like.....;)

Apart from HID who gets it by osmosis, I refuse to discuss cricket with north Americans. I don't like their sports and I couldn't give a toss if they're interested in ours. TBH it's got **** all to do them.

Wow. Went out for lunch at the worst bar in Toronto (someone else was paying) and returned to see the result. It was 6 wickets when I left they must of really finished them off.

They got stuck into them after tea. Tremlett got Dhoni out straight after the break and then their tail folded. Raina offered some resistance but couldn't save them. England were firing on all cylinders. It was good to see Broad bowl well now he's stopped with all that short shit. Roll on Friday at Trent Bridge.

The classic part is when he says he doesn't think he will ever meet her as "she's American".

Great days play

Bugger, I assumed as it was radio it would be ok. I will see if I can find an alternative....

I suspect all links will just embed the BBC one, however this has a bit more detail:

"Boycott said: "I'm a good fan of pop music. I like that Katy Perry. She's a good singer. 'Firework' - that was a good record that. I like the pop music.

"She's nice, her. I like her singing as well - she's good... She's tops for me. She just has something about her voice. It's good, it's clear, it's strong."

He added: "I don't think I'll ever meet her, she's American!""

Darn. Neither of those works.

Although the one from Australia looks more promising and is possibly only not working because the coverage is finished.

India were dreadful. Didn't show any fight and looked like they didn't want to be there. Broad and Bresnan played well. Lets get at them in Birmingham.

Agreed.

I've been listening to all the summer's cricket on TMS longwave and I'm rapidly forming two opinions. Firstly, that this England side is as good or better than any I can remember and secondly, that Geoffrey Boycott has become cricket's Don Cherry and should therefore be shot forthwith.

Agreed, Boycott is a clown. This is a very good cricket team, and its very good all the way through which gives us resilience when one or two aren't doing well, others step up and perform. Its lots of fun to watch.
